THUG 2 Not Working For Me

I downloaded the full version of THUG 2 and it installs fine and everything, but when i try and start it up, it says please insert the first disk into the cd tray. so i made a physical copy of the first cd to see if that would work and it did not. so i headed over to the crack section on the site and put the no cd crack in and now it starts up, and i can hear the sound, but it's just a black screen. i have windows 7 and when i went over to "can i run it" i met all the requirements and everything, but it said my os was not "officially" supported. so i tried to make the THUG2.exe run as windows xp service pack 3 and still it didn't work.

any suggestions/ideas?

hmm i guess a screenshot would be senseless...
try to run it as admin or try another crack
you could try this : THUG2 Crack #1
or this :THUG2 Crack #2

i tried running all three as admin, with windows xp sp3 compatibility, and normal, with no results. bummmmmer. : (

hmm maybe reinstall or try the rip...
but i don't think this would help...
have you got 32-bit or 64-bit?

i run 32 bit windows 7 professional and my video card is nvidia's geforce 9600 gt. i went over to nvidia's site and installed the latest drivers for my card. i would like to stay away from the rip because i want to play story mode and what not. i just don't get why even though i have the first disk mounted, it doesn't recognize it. that is strange to me. any other help is greatly appreciated. if it is of any use, i downloaded the full version of thps 4 without a hiccup and it runs fine.

i have tried the no-cd from gamecopyworld.com with the same results as the crack from this site. but everything installed correctly.

i already tried that no-cd. in the rip version of thug 2, what's the difference from the full game?

yeah, i can't figure out for the life of me why the full version won't work. but i went for the ripped version and i am having some trouble with that. i downloaded it, moved everything to a folder on the desktop, and clicked the install.exe. it installed a selection of files in program files/THUG2, and in there i click the unpack.bat and i couldn't find where all the files were being unpacked, because they sure weren't being unpacked in program files/THUG2. i searched the computer and they ended up in C:/users/me/appdata/local/virtualstore/programfiles/thug2. i don't know if it was supposed to do that, but in that thug 2 folder there are two other folders /docs and /game and i can't find any sort of install.exe or any other file. they are all data files and what not.

no, it was the technic rip i downloaded straight from this website. there is no thug2.exe. in the data folder there are these folders: /anims /customparks /fam /fonts /images /levels /models /movies /pre /scripts /skeletons /sounds /streams /TECHNiC /textures and than there are a bunch of files with the extension .mhz. the first file has the name "TECHNiC.r0x_00dfb748_0001bd9a" and than there are 300 or so other files in that data folder with almost the same name, but different numbers and what not.

well, i followed all the instructions and i am pretty sure this game was just not meant to be played on my computer. everything unpacked fine, and i click on the english .exe and i go to play and this time it is just a black screen, no sound. i think i will try some no-cd rips, just for funsies.
