Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread! The Later THPS1 Beta!
This is awesome! I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be able to get into that little room in San Francisco, or that glass walkway in School 1, but today was the day. Parking garage is still in Minneapolis too.

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread! The Later THPS1 Beta!
I also noticed that rune glifberg wore different clothes in the later beta (green hoody, grey pants), also in the school level, there's a THPS Coming soon billboard in the level, if you held L1 and pressed Square-X-Square-X in the later beta, the score would freeze to 13, if you did tricks, it still wouldn't change, the only way to fix it was to re-enter the code then the score would go back to normal
Here are screenshots of beta Downhill Jam/Downtown/Warehouse/School Levels in THPS2PC/THPS2 PS1 Demo
Parking garage in beta downtown reminds me of London from THPS4
There seems to be a texture alpha glitch here
I tried getting info about THPS4 demos, i got info about the KSPS THPS4 Demo, but nothing the RW Engine Demo yet, i recently ripped the THPS2 PS1 Demo (Without videos/music, and it's CUE/BIN files of the game in a *.RAR archive in only 5MB of compressed size) and i might upload it here , I might even rip the KSPS THPS4 Demo, also about the PC Demo of THPS4, the frame limit is bumped to 120 fps so it runs super fast on newer PCs
Samarasz had uploaded a rip of the MHPB Demo, the issue is the rip wasn't in an ISO, I'm sure you could upload your rip of MHPB PS1 Demo since his rip didn't work

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread! The Later THPS1 Beta!
...why is the first thing everyone does when a new Beta gets released is to import the maps into other Betas?
I kinda liked "YOWᶻA!" better...
BTW: The "skip to restart" code is:
L1 + ∆◻OX
You can use this to access the 2-player versions of most maps.
You can also try the other Apocalypse codes too and see what they do.

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread! The Later THPS1 Beta!
Yeah, the difference with 2P maps is the billboards, secret areas, and some background scenery is removed from the node array, although i don't think Apocalypse cheats will work with THPS1 Later beta since it's more closer to the final, and we put beta maps in THPS2PC/PS1 Demo because it's fun! , i also managed to get the Marseilles level from the PS1 Demo into THPS2PC, and surprisingly the newtex textures work, the only real difference is the secret area is cut off
Info about the 2 THPS4 Demos
THPS4 PS2 Demo
It has the secret tape
Tony Hawk's Model looks different (It looks the same as the pics me and Unn posted)
It has beta Textures (Like the deck/griptape)
Some of the career goals are set up different than the final/PC demo
The ped models may look blockier than the final
It had the carplant from THPS1/2/3
Some of the SFX may be different
Source:http://planettonyhawk.gamespy.com/View.php?view=thps4_gameinfo.Detail&id=19
THPS4 PC Demo
It's similar to the final, except
The Frame limit was around 120 FPS (It was 60 FPS in the final)
There's a closing logo if you quit
Only 1 soundtrack was playable (TNT by AC/DC)
Some other glitch/bugs

i ported it into thps2pc final. kinda logic to play it on pc engine instead of ps1. better framerate, better draw distance, smoothing :P
ZurePitchmen83 wrote:and surprisingly the newtex textures work
nothing surprising, they didnt chage texture names which means crc is same. even more, you could enable newtex for every thps1 map, if you had better textures for it.

You can enable extended filtering in the OpenGL plugin that came with PCSX-Reloaded so it would look like the N64/PC Versions

I think that's a screenshot for one of the PAL beta demos (probably the German Playstation Zone demo), if you looked at this page even further, you'd see them

It's not, the PSZ German Demo is just a copy of the main PAL Demo.
Edit:I still can't believe I nailed my prediction of loadscreen pretty freaking well. :loll:
My prediction:
Actual loadscreen:

it looks like a very early beta, time bonus for tricks reminds some other games of that era...

I have to wonder why they got rid of that loadscreen though, looks like it was fully functional, and its a hell of a lot cooler then a static image

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread! The Later THPS1 Beta!
I highly doubt that the any of the "Top Skater clone-era" Prototypes of THPS1 will ever see the light of day.
I have posted this before, but this is the only gameplay footage of THPS1 during that era:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etQXpiue918&t=16s
The static loadscreen made more sense. It's more practical since you can see all of the goals at once, and it's much less buggy.

True, I looked online and found a picture of an E-Rated version of THPS2 PS1, Not sure if it's a real copy or not, i assume it just has the blood censored or something, I found out in the THPS3 Later PS1 Beta, Downhill was incomplete, it says "Downhill, Heat 1" when you play it in any mode, There's also an American Flag Texture in the CD.WAD/HED file, i can also rip the THPS3 beta if you want

I made a few comparisons:
1999-07-10 Beta / final retail version
1999-04-09 Beta / 1999-07-10 Beta / final retail version
1999-07-10 Beta / final retail version
