Some sounds on thug2 for pc sound oddly different

I thought this was normal for the pc version but i looked up gameplay of the pc version online and they all had the normal sounds like ps2 version (this is what i expected). For me, some grind sounds are a little off. 2 of them are very low pitch comparing to the ps2 version sounds. And one of them sounds like a different sound altogether, either that or just a distorted version of the real sound. (I would provide something to show you what they sound like but i cant ATM) Is something wrong? Its not like this for other people.
