yes, you need to launch game.exe, which is bound to your edited %.pak.wpc and %.pab.wpc

You probably use some kind of mod and you edit the wrong pak files.

i downloaded the files form here and placed in the thaw pak folder and i think i'm not doeng anithing wrong

It doesn't matter if you downloaded them from here, if you use any kind of mod, the mod will probably have it's own pak files (like THEMOD has tm_e instead of qb_e) and you try to launch the game with some kind of mod, it will be no good.

no i mean that i have downloaded the whole pak file on a non modded thaw and it just won't work
