re-download disc2.

Oh duh. but I got the torrent and I was just wondering if it made a difference.

You can download disc2 from this site, should work.

Well the contents of the disk2 from the torrent compared to the other download have different things in them, but whatever you say really. I well post for my next problem, which I am sure is yet to come..

It should have the same data. Or jus tre-download disc via torrent.

Uh yeah... disc one from torrent is thwa so to should be thwb, ect. But the disc to from non-torrent is ALSO thwa... and if I were to re download via torrent, I would have to wait all over again lol. And I am not sure that would even work unless someone else tells me they downloaded after this happened to me and got opposite results..

When in the MS install shield setup thing, after I mounted disc one and it asks for disc two, I mount, then it just says insert disc 2 again... waits.. and again.

Try this...
Create a folder we'll call it "THAW_DVD" and place it somewhere like the desktop.
Starting with disk 1 working your way up to disk 5 extract the entire contents of each disk into the "THAW_DVD" folder you created, DO NOT OVERWRITE ANY DATA IF ASKED.
after you've extracted all 5 disks, extract and place this file modded THAW .msi file in the "THAW_DVD" folder overwriting the original
Select the "Launch.exe" from the folder and install.

EDIT: I think this'll work..

Error 1311.Source file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\\Desktop\THAW_DVD\Data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and you can access it.
Someone please send me all files needed to get past the creating folder process... lol.

Did it all. Installed right, loaded disc one, and downloaded the crack. the file opens to full screen and stays black which is usually a little loading time, then seconds later it closes. back to the first problem.

Could really use actives folder rename thing now..

To rename folders you simply right-click then select rename or highlight the object and press F2.

If its not allowing you to change the name of a folder go to the root,
I'll assume it would be "Program Files" right-click "Aspyr Media, Inc" and choose "properties" uncheck the "Read-Only" option. When you select the "Apply" button another dialog box should appear make sure the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option is selected and press "ok" you shouldn't have anymore issues with changing folder/file names.

Haha my fault.
Defaults are as follows.
Program Files/Aspyr Media, Inc/THAW/
Inside THAW/ should be the launcher and the game directory.
You'll probably need to unset read-only as I stated in my previous post.
The game wouldn't run if anything beyond the game/directory had its name changed.

Done. Well, I did rename the THAW crack and deleted the original... re-name back and see what happens.

Same shit. I don't get this at all..
